Digital Defenders Scholarship Program

Helping the next generation enter cybersecurity.

The Scholarship Program expands access to cybersecurity and information technology education for underserved and underrepresented individuals, community-minded learners, and qualifying Digital Defense Alliance volunteers building practical cyber skills.

Program Purpose

Scholarships remove barriers to learning, certification, and service.

Scholarship support may fund certification exams, micro-certification opportunities, training programs, learning resources, or other approved cybersecurity and IT education costs.

Our Targets

Digital Defense Alliance is building a repeatable scholarship process, applicant vetting workflow, and annual award model. Our target is to present at least one cybersecurity scholarship annually at the Annual Gala for a volunteer or underserved community member.

Scholarship Process

A clear path from posting to award.

Each scholarship opportunity will list its eligibility, funding purpose, application window, review expectations, notification method, and award timeline.

1

Opportunity posted

Scholarship opportunities are posted when funding, sponsor support, or designated donations are confirmed and the application window is ready.

2

Application submitted

Applicants complete the scholarship application and provide the requested contact, eligibility, learning goal, and impact information.

3

Review and selection

Applications are reviewed for eligibility, alignment with scholarship purpose, financial or access need, cybersecurity interest, and potential community impact.

4

Notification and award

Selected winners are notified by email or phone, based on the primary contact method chosen in the application. Public announcements may occur at the Annual Gala.
